I did it. I never thought I would. I swore I wouldn't, but I did. I bought a minivan, a mom-bomb, a mom-mobile, or as I like to refer to it as "The Starship Enterprise." I feel like when I put it in reverse, I need a couple of those airline guys with the orange glow sticks waving their arms back and forth. Their sole purpose is to guide me out of my garage, down the driveway and safely past my mailbox, being oh so careful not to drive on the neighbor's grass....again. I can't complain though, for being a minivan it is really, really nice...Leather/heated seats, sun roof, power sliding doors. Chris even got me one of those Garmin Navigation things. So, now I'm a mom in a minivan, with a sense of direction--Niiiice dude! Well, that's it...I'm off to find one of those tacky stick figure "family" window decals to complete my minivan look. In the mean time, do you think the neighbors would care if I tried this????

And the winner is...
I heart fall...
I drove back to GA this past weekend to shoot my friends Chris and Mindy's Christmas card portrait. Mindy is 6 months pregnant with her first baby girl, and even though we are going to do her maternity portraits in a few months, she let me do a couple of test shots before then!
Can't wait till January!

An Auburn War Eagle Married a Georgia Bulldog!
Tamara and Aubrey, who met in law school at the University of Alabama, were married in Savannah this past weekend! Although I've only had the pleasure of hanging out with Tamara a hand full of times, I've known Aubrey since the first day of 9th grade. Their wedding was absolutely beautiful and Tamara was stunning! Here are a few pictures that I managed to capture! Go Dawgs, and Roll Tide!

Just Jolly, Not Roger
I've come to the conclusion that Halloween is a dead holiday, no pun intended! I thought for sure we'd have droves of candy crazy kids ringing my doorbell all night long, because our new neighborhood is HUGE! But alas, only 15 showed up and half of them weren't even dressed up!?! What happened to Halloween? When did it become acceptable to just come home from school, eat dinner, grab a plastic Walmart bag and hit the streets in your everyday clothes? How sad and boring! Anyway, Halloween is not dead here in the Smith household! Here is my little pirate minus his hat--he just wasn't feeling it!!

The Break-Up
As of last night, there isn't anything that "Brown" can do for me anymore. I am breaking up with UPS. I sent a CD of my gallery images to my friend Stefanie, via UPS "Next Business Day" and 3 days later it arrives at her house looking like it had been dragged through the mud, beaten with a bat, and stomped on. She opened it up to find out that, SURPRISE, the CD was in pieces!
So, UPS, we need to talk....
"It's not you, it's me" will not work in this case, because you are the problem. Therefore I'm just going to be honest with you--I'm just not that in to you, I need some time to find myself, I need to focus more on my career, and I hope we can still be friends.
Gotta run! I've got a date with Kinko's....
